Why Dry Now?

I have seen it. In fact, I have experienced it. That devastating feeling of helplessness as it seems your house is being attacked by a flood of water. Something let go. You just want it all to stop. You just want it all to go away. You just want it to be dry again. You just want it to be dry now.

I have been in construction my whole working career, over 45 years now. The first and biggest lesson in construction is that water is your house’s enemy. We roof and flash and side and caulk and make tight plumbing connections and do everything possible to keep water where it belongs.

When water doesn’t behave, it can wreck your property. Worse yet, it can cause health concerns for everybody in the property and your family.

I started Dry Now to help prevent that. I want us to be there to get your property back to normal. By getting the best training and using the best equipment, we can get your property dry as fast and thorough as possible.

Why Dry Now and not one of the big service companies?

Those big companies that have the green trucks work with TPA’s, or “Third Party Administers”. These are companies set up to distribute water mitigation jobs to willing vendors that promise to do the job as cheap as possible. These TPA’s work to help the insurance companies lower costs. It is in the insurance companies best interest to get the job done as cheap as possible.

At Dry Now, we want to do the job as complete and effective as possible. We will work with you and can bill the insurance company, but we work for you, not the TPA, and certainly not the insurance company.

We’re here. We care. Let’s get you DRY NOW!

Why the otter?
My first construction business was as a master electrician. Because my last name is Potter, I developed a tagline “You otter call Potter”.

I had an artist friend of mine design an otter holding electrical pliers.

Since that business, I became a builder and have built and renovated hundreds of buildings all over the North Shore, from single families to multi-unit buildings with as many as 43 units. My company has seen it all, and one of the most devastating things to happen is water leaks and floods causing damage that can be both seen and unseen, and hides until mold or rot happens.

When I decided to start Dry Now, I wanted to keep families safe by doing water restoration and mitigation and the playful otter that I used as my mascot years ago is the perfect mascot for Dry Now. His name is “Puddles” and he wants to keep your family safe, too.

Thank you for choosing Dry Now,
Dave Potter
